Mental Clarity
Mental clarity means having a mind that is completely clear and able to work without any hindrance from pressure and stress. In today’s world that is a very tall order when we think of all the things in our life that can cause mental fog.
Just think of all the thoughts that are clogging up your mind at any given time? Just at this moment, as I write this article, I’m thinking about my schedule tomorrow, my family schedules, what time I need to get up, when I’m going to pack my lunch, the meeting I’ve got at 2pm, what I need to do to prepare for this weekend, buying my friend a birthday card SERIOUSLY, the list is endless. It is those very thoughts that distract me from taking care of myself and keep that inner voice of mine as muddled as possible, when in reality it is that very voice that I need to be listening to!
Please don’t suffer in silence…
‘Incredible change is possible in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t’
Steve Maraboli
There are many tools that we can use to encourage clarity of mind, including exercise, eating right, mindfulness, and hobbies to name a few. Although there are quite a few things we can do in therapy as well including ‘brain dumps’ and ‘hit lists’, which are fun activities that are designed to help quiet the chatter that is in your head. This encourages better sleep, more focus throughout the day, more energy which all contribute to the ever important mental clarity.
If mental clarity is something you seek in your life, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and see how counselling might be able to help you take back control of your life.
